Wow! What a morning. With cold temps, high winds and driving rain the 1st
Annual Firefighter 5K was a huge success! We had almost 200 people pre-register for the
event. There was over 130 runners and walkers that started the event. What was more
amazing was that we had 30 people register today!
David Agler Set the course record at 17:28.
In second place in open male was
Alan Effrig at 17:42 and right behind him was Josh Cone with a time of 18:10.
In the open women's, the overall winner was Kathryn Koetje-Simin with a time of
20:27. In second place was Erin Fanthorpe at 22:31 and in third place Christine Rodgers
with a time of 23:11. A special thanks go out to Dave Eggler and Cheryl Capone for

Although everyone was soaking wet from the hurricane, a good time was had by
all! Gregg Heny would like to Thank Everyone for coming out and participation in the
event. Plans are already in the works for next years race. See you next year!
